They
July 11, 2018
Contemporary dance collaboration with Marianna Kavallieratos. Two creatures travel through their own microcosms and universes. They sometimes coexist and other times fight each other; they meet and disappear, either exploring or ignoring each other. They constantly transform and falter on the edges of passion and hatred, altering and questioning themselves within the fluidity of sexual desire and their undefined identity. Next performance: Spoleto Festival 12th-14th July

20 Silences
June 19, 2018
Collaboration with Charles Chemin. 20 Silences is a theatre piece and a musical work. A human being contemplates outer space. We witness his journey in time, and his conflicted interaction with the powerful environment that surrounds him. The soundscape, altered live by both the composer and an algorithm, enacts the impenetrable formation of galaxies, stars, planets, and the emergence of life forms. There is no such thing as an empty space or an empty time. A silence is a complex composition. Premiered at Babel Festival, Targoviste, Romania in 10 June 2017. Performed again at Conversazioni - 70° Teatro Olimpico Festival Vicenza, Italy.

Tower of Babel recently won the 'Deutsches Horspielpreis der ARD', the highest award for a radio play in Germany. It is a co-production between the BBC and German radio stations HR, NDR, RBB and SWR.

Recalculate
October 18, 2013
Contemporary dance collaboration with Marianna Kavallieratos. Four dancers seek a path which they keep changing as their actions create new destinations. Kavallieratos's interests lie in form, structure and action, simplicity and abstraction. And what of meaning? Could she be alluding to the contemporary quotidian in which action is not a conscious choice for some or serves as a way of evading thought? Might her images refer to a world in flux in which constant changes of direction have become inevitable? Premiered 19 Oct 2013 Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens, Greece.
